The focus of this review is a lineup of Furutech products. It includes interconnects, speaker cables, and power cords assembled with their bulk cable lines, along with the PowerFlux-NCF 18 factory-made power cords, the GTO- D2 NCF(R) Power Distributor with custom-designed NFC duplex outlets. The premise of the bulk cables is to offer a more economical approach for the DIY assembly of Furutech cables using their wire designs with Furutech termination plugs of your own selection. Scot Markwell, President of Elite AV Distribution assembled the cables for this review to the lengths needed for my stereo.

If you've read any of my previous reviews, you know that I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to audio. More than one time I've read about some amazing piece of gear, rushed down to the high-end audio parlor (remember those?) to take a listen, and came away disappointed. It's not that it always sounded bad (although, sometimes it did), it just didn't wow me as I was expecting. Where I especially cast a wary eye is an accessory item that promises to improve the overall sound of the system. The Furutech NCF Clear Line is just such a product. So when Steven asked if anyone wanted to review it, of course, I said yes.

Sometimes, you can't help but get giddy about a product that most everyone is going to gripe that, "It can't possibly work!" But the fact is the highly debatable yet finely engineered Furutech NCF Booster-Signal I've been lucky enough to be closely reviewing these past few months clearly improves the clarity, focus, resolution, and musical enjoyment of just about any otherwise free hanging or gently lying-about cable you may be using in your high-end audio playback system.

According to Furutech, "Not only does the Furutech NCF Booster Connector and Cable Holder lift audio cables off the floor minimizing their points of contact, it also reduces electromagnetic interference and excels at providing NCF damping support for connectors and cables at points of connection. The NCF Booster Connector and Cable Holder allows for the optimum alignment between connectors and sockets and eliminates static – boosting performance by allowing a more pure and clear signal.

I consider it a privilege to be selected to review the top-of-the-line Flux Series cables by the Japanese high-end manufacture Furutech. There are at least three groups of people that might find that statement a bit odd. First,

The DeStat ($360) is a hand-held battery-powered device that eliminates static charges by blowing a gentle stream of positively and negatively charged charged ions. “My first overall impression [of the Evolution cables] was one of control. …It was as though I could feel that there was something holding the music firmly within its grasp and allowing the system to reproduce more effectively the intensity, fabric and overall visceral impact that one might expect in a live environment.
