Inline Power Filter with NCF Technology for C7 IEC Components

Modern audio systems are increasingly populated by digital source components and switch-mode power supplies that both generate and receive high-frequency electrical noise. While often overlooked, these devices can introduce interference that degrades the performance of the entire system.

The Flow-8.1 NCF is Furutech’s compact inline AC power filter, specifically designed for components equipped with a C7 IEC (“figure-8”) power inlet. Installed between the AC power cable and the component, it creates an effective barrier against high-frequency EMI and RFI while simultaneously suppressing vibration transmitted through the power connection. The result is cleaner power delivery, lower system noise, improved transparency and greater musical realism.

Building on more than a decade of Furutech research into power filtering, the Flow-8.1 NCF combines our latest EMI filtering technology with the proprietary Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) damping material first introduced in our flagship products. Inside, the proven AC-1501(R) filtering circuit employs precision coils and capacitors to suppress high-frequency interference while minimizing the transmission of internally generated digital noise back into the AC line—helping to preserve the performance of the entire audio system.

The Flow-8.1 NCF also incorporates Furutech’s advanced mechanical resonance control, utilizing an NCF-enhanced body, Neo Damper technology and carefully engineered construction to reduce vibration-induced distortion alongside electrical noise. The result is a noticeably quieter background, improved focus, enhanced low-level detail, greater dynamic expression and a more natural, effortless musical presentation.
